A 14-year-old Travis County girl who said she was sexually assaulted by a Buda man she met on MySpace.com sued the popular social networking site Monday for $30 million, claiming that it fails to protect minors from adult sexual predators.
Founded in 2003, MySpace has more than 80 million registered users worldwide and is the world's third most-viewed Web site, according to the lawsuit. To create an account, a MySpace user must list a name, an e-mail address, sex, country and date of birth.

This is ridiculous. What is the fault of MySpace.com? They try to form a community-cyber community.
It’s the girl who took decision to contact the Buda man further. She is just 14, and she still needs to learn lot of things in life. You can not just rely on people with some unknown you meet in Internet.
Instead of asking $30 million, the girl could ask MySpace.com to arrange some security concerns for under aged members, like don’t reveal their contact info etc.
We really need separate sites for different age group, like separate schools and clubs.
